The History Department is proud to announce that Stephen Kyle Tadlock, who earned his M.A. in ancient history at NCSU in 2012, has just completed his Ph.D. in history at Ohio State University. Kyle’s dissertation focused on the political relationship between mercenary soldiers and Greek city-states on the island of Sicily in the Archaic and Classical periods (800-323 B.C.) and comparing this to the city-states of the Greek homeland . Kyle is the sixth graduate our our M.A. program ultimately to earn a Ph.D. in ancient history.
