Jefferson Guilford – CHASS Thesis Award

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences has selected Jeff Guilford’s “Weber and Troeltsch, Friendship, Cooperation, Conflict,” written under the direction of Professor Noah Strote, for the 2014 CHASS Thesis and Dissertation Award. Jeff’s thesis “studies the works of Weber and Troeltsch and shows how, in spite of their cooperation, each scholar used their studies to support their opposing political ideals.” The CHASS award committee praised Jeff for the sophistication of his argument and approach and for the breadth and depth of his research.

Jeff graduated with his M.A. in History in 2014.
